Important League Rules |

Players registered in MSI’s Classic Program ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN MSI’s Recreational Program. Teams that play in U13 and older age groups are allowed up to a maximum of 3 players that may be on multiple rosters. This includes players that are allowed to play for another Classic team as long as both Classic teams play in two different age groups that are U13 and older. The Spring 2013 Transfer Deadline is March 5, 2013. In Montgomery County Park and School fields - Opposing teams must occupy opposite sides of the field, wherever possible. The home team has choice of sides. In the Maryland SoccerPlex - all players and coaches will occupy one side of the field and all spectators the other side, opposite their own team bench. Spectators, coaches and players are only allowed on the sidelines between the penalty areas. No coach or spectator may enter the field without the referee’s permission. Team spectators may not give instruction to players on the field, and coaches may not give instruction to the opposing team players. Violation of this rule is considered unsportsmanlike conduct and may result in sanctions. Please note: This is only a summary of some of the most important rules. Each coach and carded official is still required to read and abide by all the rules detailed in the latest version of the MSI Classic Program Manual, posted on the MSI Classic website. |
